Evgeny Georgiev, Country manager, Bulgaria
Evgeny Georgiev joined Aurelian in 2002. He is a chemical engineer who has worked in the Bulgarian oil and gas industry for 17 years, and was adviser to some of the initial external investors to drill a well in offshore Bulgaria.
He has also worked with Union Pacific, Texaco, Edward Callan Interest, Marine and Mercantile Securities and Ramco as well as in the downstream business, establishing Bulgarian operations for Amoco.
He has assisted as a Country Manager drilling of 5 offshore and onshore wells and acquisition of 2D and the first 3D seismic on the territory of Bulgaria. He has been central to Aurelian’s work in Bulgaria since its inception and, before that, worked for Aurelian’s Bulgarian subsidiary under its then management and shareholders. He is currently cooperating closely with the JKX as they seek to unlock value from our joint licences as operator.
