We are seeking to continue to deepen and broaden key strategic alliances
as a catalyst to grow our business

The importance of our relationships

Bullet three
Aurelian recognises that the depth, breadth and quality of our long term relationships with oil and gas companies and service providers is a key asset to our business. Some of these relationships have existed for almost twenty years and our key National Oil Company relationships are with PGNiG in Poland and Romgaz in Romania. Both of these relationships are longstanding and vital to our success. PGNiG is a key relationship for us both in the  Carpathians, as our partner in a number of concessions, and in our Permian Basin as a result of the Tight Gas MOUs that we have recently signed with them and FX Energy. Romgaz is a longstanding key relationship and we are delighted that they are our partners in concessions in Romania, Poland and Slovakia. As well as being a significant shareholder in Aurelian, Kulczyk Investments is our gas offtake partner in the Company’s Siekierki project. We are also hopeful that we can further broaden our relationship with Kulczyk in the future.

On the service company side we benefit from having excellent long standing relationships with best in class Polish service companies such as Nafta Piła, Geofyzika Krakow and Geofyzika Torun. In addition, we have very good relationships with high quality international oilfield service companies such as Halliburton, Schlumberger and Baker Hughes. We believe that the reason we have such good relationships with our service company partners is because they recognise our ambition to grow in Central Europe and that success for Aurelian in this region will also lead to success for them.

Finally, we are proud of the excellent relationships we have with all of the local communities in the areas where we operate. In particular, our relationship with the local community in Poznan is outstanding and we are grateful for the continued support that they give us.

Examples of key relationships in action

  • Signing of MOUs with PGNiG and FX Energy to co-operate in Tight Gas
    • Joint commercialisation for new Tight Gas concessions with PGNiG
    •  MOU with PGNiG and FX Energy to enhance understanding of Tight Gas in central Poland
  • Working with Romgaz to obtain approvals for the separation of our Core Area and non-core area concession interests in Romania as part of the disposal of AOGR and the creation of Aurelian Petroleum SRL
  • Our existing framework contract with Halliburton and awarding Halliburton the separate contract for the horizontal well completions and fraccing in Trzek-2 and Trzek-3 in Siekierki
  • Contract with Nafta Piła to provide a drilling rig for up to four wells. This rig is primarily being used for the drilling of our two MFHWs on Siekierki. It was also used to drill our Krezsinki exploration well in the second half of 2011 and possibly for a fourth well to understand whether the Siekierki structure extends further north into the Company’s Poznan Block 206 concession.
  • Contracts with Geofyzika Krakow to carry out 85 km2 of 3D seismic in the Company’s Poznan Block 206 concession and 200 km2 of 2D seismic in the Company’s Poznan Block 208 concession
