David Walker, Independent non-executive Director
David Walker is an experienced petroleum executive having held senior positions with Amoco, BHP Billiton and DNV. He was in charge of Amoco’s Southern North Sea operations and has managed major capital projects in Algeria, Pakistan and Liverpool Bay. He is currently vicepresident and director of strategy and business development at Det Norske Veritas, the Norwegian risk management foundation.
David holds an MSc. from the Royal School of Mines and is a graduate in Geology from Edinburgh University. He completed the Senior Executive program at Stanford University in 2001.
He joined Aurelian in October 2009 and chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committees and is a member of the Audit Committee.
